Center of the Universe is a television series on CBS, which ran from October 27, 2004, until January 19, 2005. The sitcom was canceled after just 10 episodes aired. It was set in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. John Goodman starred as John Barnett, a good-natured and successful operator of a security company. The series involved the dependency of his entire family on John for everything -- money, jobs, housing, and personal guidance in every decision. Tagline: "The world doesn't revolve around John...but his family does." A total of 15 episodes were produced.

It has presented historic performances by such artists as Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Itzhak Perlman, Isaac Stern, Sir James Galway, Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur, Beverly Sills, Joan Sutherland, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Audra McDonald, the New York City Ballet, the Mark Morris Dance Group, the American Ballet Theatre, the New York Philharmonic, and the New York City Opera to millions of home viewers. It has won thirteen Emmy Awards and fifty-three Emmy Award nominations, as well as two George Foster Peabody Awards. Two recordings made from concerts presented on the show have won Grammy awards. Announcer Martin Bookspan was with the program from its premiere in 1976 until his 2006 retirement, when Fred Child, announcer for NPR's Performance Today, took over. Several personalities, among them Dick Cavett, Hugh Downs, Sam Waterston, Garrick Utley, Canadian broadcaster Patrick Watson, and Beverly Sills, have served as host for the series, with Downs staying the longest. Ms. Sills was the host from 2000 until two months before her death in 2007. In recent years the host position has been filled by artists such as Alan Alda, Alec Baldwin, Lesley Stahl. The program was principally directed by Kirk Browning from its inception in 1976 until 2008. Since 2008 Alan Skog has been primary director.

Rock Center with Brian Williams was an American weekly television newsmagazine that was broadcast by NBC and hosted by NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams. It debuted on October 31, 2011, and aired on Mondays until January 30, 2012. It aired on Wednesdays starting February 8, 2012. It was produced in the Rockefeller Center's "Studio 3B", the same space as NBC Nightly News, and formerly that of the Today Show. Named after the location of the NBC News headquarters in the GE Building at 30 Rockefeller Center, the program was the first new NBC News program to launch in primetime since Now with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric debuted in 1993. Rock Center was designed to be more serious than NBC's existing prime time newsmagazine, Dateline NBC, which had increasingly delved into human interest and true crime stories, and had switched from a multiple-story format into a single story format. On May 10, 2012, NBC announced that Rock Center had been removed from the schedule for the remainder of the May 2012 sweeps period due to low ratings. Three days later, on May 13, 2012, NBC announced that Rock Center would be renewed for a second season during its 2012-13 upfront presentation. The series was also shown on MSNBC.

X Center

X Center is a SportsCenter spin-off on ESPN/ESPN2 that focuses on the X Games. The show appears four times for both the Summer X Games and Winter X Games at 1:00 or 1:30 a.m. The program otherwise does not appear between X Games. There is also two canadian versions of X Center: X Centre, which airs on TSN2 and X30, which airs on RDS2.

The series was aired every Thursday at 21:00 in November 2005 .
